We provide the room, you provide your game of choice.  Bring a friend, cards, or any board game and we have the space for you.  Very informal and getting groups together is up to those that attend.  Registration is not required.

Join us for a STEAM-related activity at the library!

Playing is how your child learns. Through different stages of play, children grow and develop skills in many areas. Parent/Child Workshop gives parents the opportunity to spend quality time with their child playing, exploring, and sharing songs and stories. 

This program covers strength training, balance, aerobics and flexibility.  Most of the exercises are performed seated in a chair.  Please wear clothing that you can comfortably move in, have water available, and be ready to have fun.

This class is sometimes described as "meditation in motion" because it promotes serenity through gentle movements.  Originally developed in ancient China for self-defense, Tai chi evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction and to help with a variety of health conditions.

Do you like to knit or crochet?  Whatever your passion, gather and socialize with others who share your interest, and perhaps pick-up a few tips and tricks as you work your own creations! Please bring your own supplies. Instructors may be available. Registration is not required.

A Senior Advocate from the Suffolk County Office of the Aging will be available to assist seniors one-on-one with forms and to answer questions regarding county programs and services for seniors. Call the Reference Desk to schedule an appointment. 

This class puts emphasis on body alignment, and lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion.  It improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.  We will be using some props such as a rope and a semi deflated ball.  Please wear clothing that you can comfortably move in, bring water, and a mat or towel.
